Dr. Sheila Sneddon received her bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University and then continued her education at Illinois College of Optometry, where she received her doctoral degree.
She and her husband, Dr. Geoffrey Sneddon, joined the Marion Eye Center in 2007. Dr. Sheila is currently accepting appointments in the Benton, McLeansboro and Mount Vernon offices. She cares for patients of all ages for their annual vision checks for glasses and contact lenses, and sees many patients for the monitoring of eye health complications including cataracts, macular degeneration, retinopathy due to diabetes or high blood pressure, etc. She is also capable of treating many of the common ocular ailments such as pink eye, glaucoma and eye injuries or foreign bodies.
Having worked for the Marion Eye Center for many years, Dr. Sheila greatly enjoys catching up with her many long-term patients. During the exam, Dr Sheila takes time to listen to their needs, make appropriate recommendations, and educate patients on eye health.
In her free time, she likes to flower garden, take care of her orchid collection, do needlework, and spend time with her kids and husband.
