Dr. Lacey Walk, a native of Brownstown, Illinois, is a compassionate and dedicated optometrist committed to providing comprehensive eye care and helping patients achieve optimal vision. With a focus on personalized, patient-centered care, Dr. Walk has built a reputation for her expertise and compassionate approach to treating a wide range of eye conditions.

Dr. Walk graduated from Brownstown High School in 2005 before pursuing her undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Chemistry, graduating Cum Laude in 2009. Driven by her passion for eye care, she went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2013. During her time there, she was inducted into the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society, an achievement that recognizes the top tier of optometry students.

After practicing in the metro east St. Louis area for seven years, Dr. Walk returned to her hometown in 2020 to join the Marion Eye Center team. She now serves patients at the Vandalia, Effingham, and Greenville locations. Dr. Walk provides a full range of primary care optometry services, with a particular focus on dry eye disease, contact lens fitting, and the treatment of various eye conditions such as glaucoma, corneal ulcers, and conjunctivitis. She is skilled in treating patients of all ages.

Dr. Walk’s patient care philosophy centers around the belief that listening to her patients is essential to providing the best care. By building long-term relationships based on trust and respect, she strives to help her patients achieve clear, comfortable vision throughout their lives.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Walk enjoys traveling with her husband, Alex, and their son, Ollie. She also loves spending time with her extended family and staying active through running, hiking, kayaking, and reading.
