Dr. Jacob Heath went to SIUC where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He then continued his education, graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2016, and has served Southeast Missouri ever since. While at Indiana University, he completed externships at Gundersen Health in Iowa and Fort Knox in Kentucky, gaining valuable experience in primary eye care that he still uses to this day.
Dr. Heath sees patients of all ages for routine glasses and contact lens exams; as a fellow glasses-wearer he takes great pride in getting patients to their absolute best vision. He also routinely cares for a variety of medical eye conditions, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, dry eye, macular degeneration, and much more.
Dr. Heath currently lives in Dexter, Missouri, with his wife and daughters, as he likes to be part of the community that he serves. He is currently accepting new patients and would be delighted to care for you and your family. Dr. Heath works in our Dexter, Sikeston, and Charleston locations.
