Dr. Geoffrey Sneddon earned a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and then his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He later joined the Marion Eye Center in 2007.
Dr. Sneddon practices full-scope optometry and cares for patients of all ages, including young children who need kindergarten evaluations and all patients who need comprehensive eye exams for vision correction with glasses and contact lenses, as well as consultations for refractive surgery, such as LASIK. He also has many years of experience treating and managing patients who have cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, and many other ocular conditions.
Dr. Sneddon is especially motivated to take care of patients with health conditions that can affect their vision or their eye health, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. He is also experienced in treating patients who have eye infections or eye injuries. He is also skilled at removing foreign bodies from ocular surfaces.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and fellow optometrist Dr. Sheila Sneddon, and their two children. He is an active pilot and enjoys sharing his passion for aviation with the community.
Dr. Sneddon sees patients at the offices located in Mount Vernon, Salem, and Fairfield.
