Dr. Beth Westell is originally from West Frankfort, IL.
She attended SIU Carbondale before entering optometry school at Indiana University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Optometry in 1992 and a Doctorate of Optometry in 1994.
Dr. Westell joined the Marion Eye Center in 1999, but prior to joining, Dr. Westell began her optometry career in 1994, working closely with the late Michaelis B. Jackson, MD, at the multi-specialty Carbondale Clinic (now SIH-Center For Medical Arts). This practice setting allowed her to gain 5 years of invaluable clinical experience that would aid her future Marion Eye Center optometry career in many ways.
Dr. Westell currently practices full-scope, primary care optometry in her hometown of West Frankfort and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She has been a member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association for over 30 years.
In her spare time, Dr. Westell enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her rescue pets, and watching Big 10 sports.
