Most screenings and evaluations for children will include many of the following steps:

Why is it important for children to have regular vision examinations?
School-aged children who are experiencing vision problems may not voice these concerns with their parents. Many vision problems may go undiagnosed, and may appear as a child who does not take down notes during class or cannot follow directions their teachers may write on the markerboard. By screening annually for vision concerns, most problems are caught early enough for successful intervention.
